I managed to get my holy grail this month, the N3DS XL Pikachu model.
Found it locally, was brand new in box unused. Been wanting one for about 3 years and the stars alinged for me, I would never have a chance to own it otherwise. I brought it from a lady who was gifted the console from a friend and she knew nothing about Nintendo stuff and she just kept it in her closet untouched.
It was originally listed for 450$, but I paid 800$ in my country to snag it and I barely got it.
Also just realized it matches my 2DS XL. I also got this brand new from the Nintendo repair center in 2024. Was stupid lucky to get a cheap broken N3DS XL and I ended up getting the 2DS for free when the payment processor went down and the console/repair was offered to me.
I'm the original user for both consoles too.
I started game collecting a couple years ago and actually ended up repairing broken 3ds consoles and selling them, which is how I managed to afford the Pikachu one by selling my old CIB 3ds xl (that I brought with a broken motherboard and repaired)
