Radio for Arrma Typhon 6S TLR

Hello everyone, good afternoon.

I recently bought an Arrma Typhon 6S and I absolutely love the car. It’s an amazing machine. However, the stock transmitter/radio is really bad. It feels very cheap and plasticky, and honestly I don’t feel like I have much control or confidence using it. It really leaves a lot to be desired.

I’ve seen many people here recommending Futaba or Sanwa radios, but without being very specific about which models. What would you recommend for this car?

I don’t really want to spend more than €150.

Another question: if I change the radio/transmitter, do I also need to replace all the servos? And is the installation/setup process relatively simple?

Also, I would like a radio that allows me to reduce the car’s power even more. Right now, the stock radio only lets me limit it to 50%, but I would like to be able to reduce it to around 10% or 20% so that my kids, who are still underage, can safely drive the car as well. Is this possible?

I’m coming back to the hobby after almost 30 years away from RC cars, so everything feels pretty new to me and I’m a bit lost at the moment.

Thank you very much, and greetings to everyone.

Hello everyone!

Thinking about taking my family to Japan. We’re a couple with two kids: 7 and 12 years-old (boys).

Unfortunately I just have time to go in August. I was thinking about 8-10 days maximum. Probably add an extra city to the mix (maybe two days in Kyoto or Osaka?)

Tokyo-wise, I was thinking in getting a hotel in Ueno. Is that a good choice? Since I have two small kids nightlife is not something I’m looking for since they need to go to bed early. Zones with parks, nature and cool stuff to do is a must. Cheap and good restaurants too! Since I’m flying from Portugal, the plane tickets alone are well over 5000 euros. It’s crazy.

I've been looking at hotels like the Tokyo Bay Shiomi Prince Hotel, Ginza Creston, Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo Marunouchi. Anything cooler (4-5 stars) that are not over-the-top priced?

Or should I should other zone of Tokyo?

Anything you advise? Places to go? Places to avoid? Any tips I should follow? Subway is a must of course.

You think 80% time in Tokyo and 20% of my time in another city is a good mix? Should it be 50/50? Or just stick to Tokyo?

Thank you very much!
