So backstory, my husband mentioned to me theres a possible trip with his siblings, said 2 weeks tops. Never heard much about it after. Then one night me and my husband met up (We’re young and live with our parents atm) and he dropped it on me he spent 3k and said they’re going for 3 weeks. I was upset that he didn’t update me it changing from 2 to 3 weeks and just dropping 3k like that when he is jobless and in debt- surprised me because he always being frugal with money and says can’t spend too much on this n that I’d always understand and respect that decision. He told me this is his older sister say, she booked the ticket on the whim with no planning. I asked him did you even think to consider me joining or me being okay with him gone for 3 weeks? Since i’m his wife, family too. But he is saying he didn’t think much of it and that this was his sister’s plan and he has no say apparently. He told me that he did say what about my wife and apparently his sister said no only siblings, just to find out recently he acc didn’t have that conversation with his sister because there was acc no planning behind this trip the sister just wanted to cut the tickets.
Now am I crazy that i find it offensive that my husband didn’t even think to consider if I want to go or ask before spending 3k and gone for 3 weeks. Look I understand a sibling trip and wanting to spend time tgt with family, but i feel like sometimes my husband’s siblings forget he’s married and has a wife. Or idk maybe my husband doesn’t even want me there lol. idk how i feel about this situation. It’s just the consideration part.
