Applied for a passport renewal for a child on 3/31. On 4/9, I got the “additional information needed” email stating I needed to send in her current passport. Mailed that via 2-day shipping to the facility in Virginia on 4/13. Since then, the status has stayed as “additional information needed”. I called the number in the email, they couldn’t tell me anything more than the status website. Contacted my congressman who said his office can’t help until I’m 2 weeks out from travel. I’m currently 30 days away from travel. Anyone with similar situation or timeline? Won’t be able to get a last minute appointment because I already shipped out her current passport. Paid for expedited service.
