I was at an antique mall yesterday and spotted this poor little 1666. At first I was mildly interested but of course the vender got what I like to call ‘the Lionel fever’. As in ‘ohmygarsh I found this LIONEL TRAIN!! These things are worth sooooo much money because it says Lionel on it!! I’ll be able to buy a new house for what I get outta this thing!!’
Needless to say I left it right where it sat. I’m not knocking anybody for trying to make a dollar, but with the internet literally at one’s fingertips, it’s rather easy to get an idea on value and how to identify something.
