Sooo [Chapter 2993]
People are probably going to think I’m crazy for this, but since I’d been hesitating for a long time to start the novel because of the Shadow Bond and the constant jokes on this subreddit (which I personally found more frustrating than funny), finally seeing Nephis’ POV helped me understand their relationship a lot better. Honestly, I think this is the kind of chapter that should be recommended to people who are held back for the same reasons I was.
Though it would’ve been nice if the author had shown more of her POV before waiting 2993 chapters lmao. Someone who never even read the novel and only followed the story from afar could basically reach the same level of understanding of her character as someone who’s been following the novel for years, all thanks to a single chapter.
People should also stop calling Nephis a “master,” even if that’s technically how the Shadow Bond description presents her, because it makes people picture their relationship in a completely different way and probably turns a lot of readers away, when in reality she mostly used that bond to preserve her humanity and help Sunny a couple of times from what I understood...
The Shadow Bond still bothers me a bit though, and I hope the author eventually fixes the whole “she has to change the way she talks so she doesn’t accidentally give him orders” aspect. But aside from that, it honestly seems way cooler than I originally imagined now that I’ve finally seen what she actually thinks...
Yeah, I spoiled myself quite a bit, but spoilers usually don’t ruin stories for me. I mostly just like knowing what to expect so I don’t end up wasting my time lmfao.
Anyway, it was pretty cool of the author to finally give me a reason to start reading HAHA.
