Joist Reccomendation

Joist Reccomendation

Im looking to reinforce my floor as my 1st floor has some movement and vibration when walked accross

I removed 200sq of ceramic tile as well as old cabinets from the 1st floor

stripped old drywall ceiling below and noticed theres no blocking, just bridging.

would you reccomend staggered blocking to help reduce vibration and noise?

it should be noted that they are 2x8 joists that span 12ft from what i can tell a 1/4inch deflection. I beam on first floor located approx 4 feet from chalkboard wall. 25 year old home
