Curious as to how y'all are handling situations where customers ask for signage using images/ideas generated from AI apps.

It's really started to pick up steam in the last year or so. People conjure up these detailed, sometimes unrealistic, renderings from scratch in a matter of minutes and come to us saying, "This is what we want." We're left trying to decipher what's physically/economically possible in each situation, and basically reverse-engineering a sign from their AI files. Other times it's a design that'll take multiple hours to recreate in vector.

We explain our hourly design rates, costs of similar projects we've done, current workload and lead times, etc. But it seems like we just end up spinning our wheels and sinking way too much time into trying to build something around an idea that wasn't based in reality to begin with.

Any tips on how to tackle these jobs? Any AI resources that are useful to sign makers that assist in vectorizing AI slop?? Haha I haven't heard many in the trade talk about or address it yet, and don't want to fall behind the 8 ball. I've attached a couple examples of designs customers have brought us. Any advice is welcome and appreciated!
