Is this air quality normal for Cyprus? AQI is 53.2 times the World Health Organization PM2.5 guideline 😷

Hi everyone, I recently moved to Cyprus and I just checked my air quality app... I'm honestly a bit shocked.

The AQI is showing over 350(Hazardous), and it says the PM2.5 concentration is over 53 times the WHO guideline.

I've lived in Europe most of my life and I've never seen anything like this. Did something specific happen today, or is this a regular occurrence here?

I'm guessing it might be a massive dust storm from the Sahara or the Middle East?

Also, any tips for a newbie? How long do these episodes usually last, and is it essential to get a good air purifier for the apartment?
