Id say im pretty confident at everything else but interproximal reduction kills me everytime.
- Problem: I kind of overreduce (supposed to be 0,8 mm) most of the time. I already take the smallest bur (in my case 010 chamfer) and take it through the buccal to lingual. But still when I try to finish the margin it’s too much everytime. I tried going in with a needle bur from occlusal, that didn’t work for me as I find it really hard to get a good margin if I do it like that.
- How to protect the adjacent teeth. We’re supposed to use tofflemire bands and wedges but I just can’t get the band in between the normal typodont teeth. And even when I do it takes forever and doesn’t even hold up. Tried fender wedges which work but are just really bulky. Leaving an enamel shell only makes my over reduction problem worse.
Does anybody have tips and tricks? Or maybe other strategies I can try? Thanks for your advice.
