I am currently on the IBR plan. I was on the SAVE plan and got put into forbearance for 12 months, starting October 2024. I opted to go into IBR in November 2025. I have been in a PSLF eligible job (state government) since September 2016. I’ve submitted eligibility verification forms every year or so for about five years, the last time was in January 2026. I’m five payments from 120 (minus my 12 forbearance months).
Today, I noticed that in the payment history for PSLF, it skipped July 2025. I was in forbearance at that point, but nothing else had changed.
Any thoughts on what that could mean? And whether I should do something about it now, or wait until I send in my final certification in September? I’m not even sure what I should do, actually.
