A formula that works for me

I struggled to hit my protein requirements which everyone seems to kinda agree on. Supposed to try to hit 160-180g a day. The only way I found I could do that would be eating like double portions of meat and my plates just didn’t look like what I would consider healthy. I don’t love breakfast so kinda had 2 big meals with 2 servings of beef jerky as a snack. I felt like all I did was eat meat all day.

Another thing I struggled with was my fat being kinda way higher than recommended- 75g. I blew past that with an avocado, 2 eggs and some evoo to cook with. Snacks were always treacherous too- never knew what to eat.

Now comes protein powder which I suppose I have succumbed to and it makes everything fall into place.

My breakfast I have one portion of yogurt with a scoop of protein powder. She gets real thicc so I thin out a bit with kefir. Top with berries and I’m all set.

I also pack 2 scoops of powder which I mix with almond milk and have that in my drive home in the afternoon. With just these I am like 75% of the way there on protein and don’t have to figure out a snack and I’m not hungry when I get home.

Now I just have to figure out 2 meals. I have salmon, chicken, tuna, shrimp, and ground beef around which I can source high quality and they cook really quickly and are versatile.

I have one serving of starchy carbs with either lunch or dinner and veg for the other.

So a salad with protein for lunch and a different protein with rice and veg for dinner.

So easy for me to adhere to this. Oh, and I eat an apple as my snack while I prep dinner which gets me to my fiber goal.
