I bought this Japanese maple a few hours ago from facebook marketplace for $15. It looks extremely stressed, did I get scammed or should I wait it out? To add more context it’s 51 degrees out and was partly cloudy the whole day. I had a 45 minute drive from where I got it from.

Edit: turns out my "rooted" cutting wasn't so rooted. I messaged the seller and was blocked.
