As a company owner, I feel a $150 champagne/wine gift basket is actually better value than those gift vouchers.

Hear me out. A good bottle of wine like a Veuve Clicquot and some nice chocolates from Godiva or Kohler packed in a wooden gift box will make your employees way happier than the gift cards. Because gifting also has a certain emotion attached to it. Something physical that looks nice and has a feeling of celebration makes people happy.

The bottle sits on their shelf for weeks. They Instagram it. They tell everyone who gave it to them.

I only realized this recently when I sent out gift baskets for my employees. I made sure that each one had a personalized note with it. You can add it on some online gifting stores like Wine&ChampagneGifts website or Harry&David.

The memory-per-dollar ratio on a luxury gift basket is actually insane.

Prince treatment at Pratap Niwas Palace in Jodhpur

For the first time in my life, I stayed at a proper proper palace which was Pratap Niwas by Club Mahindra, in Jodhpur.

Nothing less than royal treatment, top notch service and rooms…like a movie scene. Tried some of the best royal marwadi dishes like lapsi, makhaniya lassi, and laal maas and also sweets like mawa kachori and ghevar.

We also visited Machia biological park, Guda Bishnoi village and Mehrangarh fort and listened to the tales and mysteries behind the fort. A 8/10 experience…only factor which bugged me was that bath fittings were non-functional…they fixed that after we called…but I spent more time in pools so….
