I built a driving app that runs entirely on your phone — no servers, no tracking, ever

Hey r/Android ,

I'm a software engineer from India, and I want to share something I built because this community will actually appreciate the privacy angle.

I made Foresight — a real-time driving safety app that calculates your risk score every second using speed, weather, traffic, and road conditions.

Here's what makes it different from every other driving app:

— Everything runs locally on your device. No data ever leaves your phone. — No account required. No sign-up, no email, nothing. — Your driving history auto-deletes after 7 days. — No third-party analytics. No behaviour tracking.

Most driving apps (insurance ones especially) send your every move to a server. Foresight does the opposite — it was built specifically because I didn't want to build another surveillance tool.

It also generates a Safety Certificate, graded A+ to F, based on your driving habits — useful for self-awareness or for showing your insurance company.

I built this alone over 7 months. Recently got covered in a local newspaper, which was a nice surprise for a solo indie dev.

I would appreciate feedback from people who care about privacy—this community is exactly who I built it for.

Happy to answer any questions about how the local processing works.
