Does only taking the general exam automatically make you a non-attending student?

Sorry for the dumb question because I’m an exchange student. Thank you so much for your reply!

On the general exam registration page, if there is no additional tab to choose attending or non-attending, does it mean that all students are taking the same paper for that general exam?

I’ve heard that the exam scope for attending and non-attending students are different, but my professors don’t take attendance as well.
