Hey guys I need some help.
I just purchased aAOC q27g41zdf And I have had absolutely no luck reaching 240 Hertz in games only. I have set the monitor to 240 Hertz in Nvidia control panel as well as the Windows settings. I have gone into the advanced display settings and selected 2560x1440 240 hz there as well and I have change the frame rate limit in RivaTuner to match what I have set in Nvidia control panel as well. Everything shows 240 Hertz but when I turned on nvidias statistics overlay all I ever see is a max of 120 hz even though everywhere Alice is saying that the monitor is set to 240.
I purchased a better display port cable from Amazon last night it got here this morning and I'm still having the same issue.
I'm not sure if maybe I may have set something to limit my monitor to 120 Hertz while I was using my previous one but as far as I can tell I went through everything.
If anyone has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated thank you.
UPDATE:
I decided to launch a separate game and I launched Prey through the epic game store it was able to reach 240 fps in that title. I am still not able to reach 240 FPS or anything above 120 in both battlefield 6 and marvel rivals.
UPDATE 2:
Both marvel rivals and battlefield 6 are launched through steam
Update 3:
I have launched two games in the epic game store and both I'm able to get over 120 frames per second so as of right now it's looking like steam is the issue but I've been poking around at different settings and can't seem to figure out why it's doing that.
