A psychiatrist made a very damaging incorrect statement in my medical records that indicates I once made a false accusation against someone and that there's CCTV footage that proves I lied. This statement is inccorrect and I've asked for a correction a few weeks ago.

I'm now in the middle of a life or death legal matter where my lawyer intends to use medical records as evidence. The mistake written by the doctor was copied by other doctors and I now have to submit several correction requests, that I don't have time for.

My current legal matter heavily relies on my credibility so this statement will be very harmful and detrimental.

Do I have grounds to sue this doctor or the hospital for damages?

How much are police officers allowed to share with hospital staff about someone under section 28? Can they share details about past police incidents from years ago and claim it’s relevant and permissible under section 28? What determines the relevance?
