what to expect after the no-chew diet?

hi everyone, i’m 4 weeks post OP and have been eating soft food/no chew since week 2. i have done so many amazing things, including processing an entire pizza and eating it with a baby spoon 😅 the food part doesn’t bother me as much in terms of taste but i am really counting the seconds to get the green light to chew. i really want to go back to eating stuff i like and a burger is on the top of the list

however i have no idea what to expect. how is it after the first no-chew period? surgeon says after 6 weeks i can eat whatever i want but i doubt ill be able to chug some peanuts right away lol how was it for you?

after one year of babysitting my Rangpur lime i decided to finally make a lemonade with it. where i live Rangpur lime is basically nonexistent, so it was an amazing surprise to be able to buy a small tree here.

and i must say i was quite disappointed. the lemonade didn’t have any sourness at all. it was just sweet. almost as if i had made it with a tangerine.

did i do something wrong? did i pamper the tree too much? did i wait too long to harvest them? i’m so sad.

the limes also never developed the patchy classic look of Rangpur lime, so maybe it’s not Rangpur lime at all? but the store where i bought it wouldn’t just sell some random thing with its name, it doesn’t make any sense 😭

please someone help me, this is really important. having Rangpur lime available is my dream

I am German and every time I set foot in Belgium I have to buy as many beer bottles as I can carry (please don’t tell the German government that 😅). I also love to buy large amounts of Ibuprofen when I go to the UK because it’s dirt cheap there (in emergencies I will get some from the Netherlands too)

What are your go to purchases when visiting another European country?

Hi everyone,

I’m 2 weeks post-op (DJS) and I noticed that some days the numbness on my chin is spreading. I only really had numbness on the left side of the chin, but today for example the right side is also numb. My upper lips aren’t numb at all, but the right side of my nose up to the bottom of my right eye is. This also changes, some days I feel like the area is a bit wider, some days it’s smaller.

Is any of this normal? Has anyone else felt that too? Tingly sensation and small spasms are also present.
