This is my first attempt a salamander, I hope to run them as my main army, pretty new to the hobby, for reference I have only done the starter kit marines prior to this one.

Also what makes a "good" Salamander army?

I already own the intercessors and assault intercessors and 1 redemptor dreadnaught all yet to be painted, I've watch a few videos about army buliding, but none specifically about salamanders.
