The boy's family was well educated, settled and very well mannered. By no means the girl's family was a close match to them, yet they were very respectful and courteous. The only thing the groom requested was for his brother also to come over and have a conversation with them. Sensible right? After all they are orphans and they only have each other. Didn't the whole bride's family got involved in the decision making? What is so wrong with him that Bhanumathi felt disrespectful?
