I still struggle to wrap my head around a lot of the more nuanced Pathfinder rules, and one problem I have is understanding how to make casters an effective member of my party in the early levels. I get using ascended element to bypass resistances. But between spell resistances and limited casting resources I just often wonder why I didn’t just bring a fighter instead. My first campaign with a caster KC stalled so hard I stopped playing for years. These days my bard KC at least can spend his time buffing, but I almost never take Nenio with me because what can she even accomplish that Woljif or Regill can’t do better when it comes to beating encounters?

I feel like I’m missing something and would appreciate some advice.
