As a Kaiser member (male) can you just call and request an STD screening? My friend had a weird experience and called the advice nurse and they said they couldn’t request STD tests unless there was a very recent exposure. They suggested they call back and make one up so that labs could be ordered

Sounded weird to me- is this normal? I was just able to just hop on my app and request them, but I’m a female. Didn’t know if it was a different process.
