Hey guys, thanks in advance for every helpful tip. I tried to post this into te curlyhair subreddit but it didn't work, so I'll try my luck here :)

I went to a curly hair salon this week and they styled my hair perfectly - never have I ever experienced such lush and defined curls before! The way they did it was via classic CGM method: Dripping wet hair + lots of leave in + brushing the curls to form clumps and scruntch + curl mousse, diffusing. It was per-fect!!

Now, of course I also wanted to try this at home. I bought myself a Denman brush and tried to follow the method my hair stylist used. I used ouai detox shampoo today, followed by some olaplex for my ends, then curlsmith double cream deep quencher. Then diffused as always. After this disaster now I applied Garnier banana hair food and am currently waiting for my hair to relax.

The Denman left my hair completely frizzy, dry and without any curl pattern whatsoever. I am at a loss right now, I see all the girls with glorious locks using some kind of brushing + clumping that seems to work well with their hair, why is mine not reacting the same way? I have 2b - 2c hair.

Thank you again!!
