I have an Olympic distance in a lake at the end of July, which is 13 weeks from now.

I started swimming a couple years ago, casually. Only joined group swimming lessons in January and so far can only do 100m (out of breathe by that point). My swim pace is 2:30.

Am I being silly for signing up to this? Should I do the shorter distance? Should I do it at all? The bike and run should be fine for me but if I can’t swim well now im afraid I won’t even make it out the water on race day!

Currently following Garmin’s coach plan and have OpenSwim app for the swims.
