Saw this story about Clean Lane in Eugene, Portland and am shocked..
Found this article in Eugene Portland and honestly pretty upset this is the first time I'm really hearing about this? I didnt realize they were trying to overpass the law and build a facility in Goshen, Portalnd. Tell me why this has gone to appeals three times and they've still moved forward with their plans?
Most of my family live in Lane County and the idea that the citizens of County Lane would have to pay for the governments inability to facilitate one organized way of cleaning up their trash is both detrimental to the environment and also to its citizens. Every time our leaders don't do their job, our planet suffers and it's just unsurprising and disappointing at this point. Get these idiots out of office already Lane County and start taking care of the trash in the water like you were supposed to.
