Never made a homemade pie crust but am looking to make one for a coconut cream pie. Should I buy a glass pie pan, aluminum, ceramic, or cast iron? I saw in the recipe he used aluminum foil, is there anyway I can avoid using aluminum foil? Are ceramic pie crust weights better than dry beans? Any advice for my first pie crust appreciated!
