[New Gear] Picked up a used canon EOS 700D (18 - 55mm lens)

Hey guys,

I recently bought a used canon EOS 700D and took it to my trip to Budapest. I want to know if I upgrade the kit lens in future will there be any improvement in the clarity of the pictures? what can I expect in that case?

I will be upgrading to a prime lens mainly used for street photography and landscapes.

First Pictures From My Used Canon EOS 700D (18 - 55 Lens)

Hello Everyone,

I recently purchased a camera due to my deep interest in capturing the city views and streets. So, luckily I got at a great price canon 700D with kit lens and recently took it to my trip to Budapest.

I was happy with the performance of the camera, though there was some limitations in extreme brightness and dark environments. Anyway, I am still learning.

Please review my pictures and tell me where I can improve. thanks :)

First set of pictures from my recent trip with my used Canon EOS 700D (18–55mm kit lens).

Hi everyone,
I recently got interested in photography and bought a second-hand Canon EOS 700D. My main focus is landscape and street photography, so I took it with me on my recent trip to Budapest.

Along with the camera, I also tried film simulations like Crowdak and Kodachrome. The pictures you see here are straight-out-of-camera JPEGs, and I haven’t edited them any further.

Any suggestions regarding composition, angles, or camera settings are appreciated. I’m trying to improve, and lens suggestions are welcome too. I know I should probably stick with one lens for now, though.

A couple of difficulties I faced:

  • In daylight, I wanted to take slow shutter shots of crowds with monuments in the background, but whenever I slowed the shutter speed, I couldn’t properly control the brightness with the aperture alone.
  • In some shots, I was indoors trying to capture the outside view, but the inside area turned completely black.

Would appreciate any tips or feedback!

Hi Everyone,

I recently bought a second hand canon eos 700D to learn and enjoy taking pictures from a DSLR. I also follow Fujifilm cameras and like the effects they add to the pictures. I figured out on how to do that in my camera by adding the picture style. But, when I went to find the eos utility app for my camera I only see a updater which requires original CD and I don't have that.

I want help from the community to either share me the zip file or tell me a way I can add those picture styles to my camera cause doing that manually is not possible.
