Hello! I'm currently writing my term paper on horror manga as a historical source - meaning researching, for example, how Suehiro Maruo's imagery of violence against women is embedded into the nationalistic reflection of Japan's imperial past in 80's Japanese society, and stuff like that.
I never really got into Ito's works and was wondering if you can tell me if there is manga in his bibliography that has implicate historical backdrop? The only such thing that comes to mind for me after reading various synopses and some papers on Ito is his Frankenstein adaptation.
