After many years of no vacation my boy and I will spend six days on the North Sea coast (YUHU!!!). But I am very worried about him overheating and getting sunburns, because the sun being crazy strong as of lately and the vacation being in the middle of the summer. I have a Strandkorb (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strandkorb) booked for lazy days, but this still leaves us with the problem of hiking and generally moving around in the sun for any longer periods of time. I would really appreciate any recommendations for dachshund friendly products or anything, that you found especially useful (staying hydrated, resting when tired, a backpack made for carrying dogs and dipping in the water to cool off are a given) !
