I started playing Kenshi years ago at the beginning of the pandemic. It's astonishing to see what indie games can do. A quirky sandbox rpg where you tell your own story. No hidden agenda whether cultural/political. It's just a fun fucking game.
I was curious about the Kenshi subreddit as I sank 40 hours into my new run these past two weeks. Seeing this sub still active after 8 years brings me such joy. It's living proof that you don't need a flashy high end studio ahem "triple A studios" to create something amazing that will trigger a massively positive reaction from a community. I never knew Kenshi existed until the pandemic but I will happily wait for Kenshi 2.
