Hopp: Screen-sharing app optimised for remote pair programming

Hey everyone, wanted to share something I've been building on the side with a friend.

Hopp is an open-source screen-sharing app optimised for pair programming. It tries to make remote pairing feel like you're sitting next to each other, low latency streaming, remote control with multi-cursor, drawing on screen, and as little friction as possible and using as little cpu usage as possible.

It consists of a LiveKit server, a Go backend, and a desktop app built with Tauri/Rust. The app is for macOS and Windows.

Everything is AGPL-3.0.

We just added instructions for easy self-hosting, so you can spin up your own instance.

Repo.

Thanks for checking it out.
