I'm trying to find ambiance music, it plays throughout the entire video.
processed ambiance without a voice over it - https://voca.ro/1cMKm8ZQK7HP
Despite the fact that I love this game with all my heart, despite the fact that I've dedicated myself entirely to managing democracy in the name of freedom and Super Earth, I have something to say.
I'll start by saying that I understand that Warbonds are a key aspect of the game and that they're literally a way for you developers to make money. I'm not saying this is bad, because the game does have ways to farm Super Credits for free, and for that, I and many players are grateful, as many games don't allow you to farm donation currency. But despite all this, I don't understand your approach to game development: you release Warbond after Warbond, which, while bringing new content, helldivers 2 still has and STILL has bugs that you promise to fix in every patch, assuring you're working on them, but months, even years, pass, and they still exist. And it would be foolish to say you're not working on fixing the game's bugs at all, because I can see you're working on it. When a new update breaks something, you release a patch a week later that fixes it - for example, the autocannon reload bug. But...
By fixing some bugs, you're turning a blind eye to others. Over the 600 hours I've spent playing, I've compiled a list of the most frequent and annoying bugs:
Invisible hitboxes of dead enemies that you get stuck in when running away from a mob trying to slaughter you. Do you think most Helldiver deaths occur during Friendly Fire? Or maybe Helldivers die because the enemies are too tough? No. Invisible. Hitboxes. Kill. FIX IT.
Bouncing Stratagem balls off surfaces. I want this damn ball to stick to the rock so my turret has a better line of sight to shoot at enemies, but instead it rolls off into the middle of nowhere and the turret lands in an unintended location. FIX THIS.
The ambient sound disappears when you die. When I'm watching a living teammate, I hear almost nothing around me - no explosions from orbital bombardments, no gunfire, no enemies. And it can happen that I'll be distracted from the game and scroll through memes, and when I hear an ally shout "REINFORCEMENTS!" I open the game thinking everything is quiet, and I find myself in some kind of hell where everything is exploding, an army of automatons is coming straight for us, and I'm the only one left alive. FIX THIS.
It's not exactly a bug, but it could be considered something like that. There's a delay in animation when picking up samples or other items, or when exiting the terminal or activating a Hellbomb. I realize Helldivers 2 isn't the only game where items aren't picked up immediately, but in this case, it can be fatal. For example, I'm running away from enemies, and along the way, I see a sample I want to pick up, and my character wastes a couple of seconds instead of instantly equipping it in one hand and shooting back with the other. During those few seconds, I can't switch to a weapon, and the enemy can maul me or shoot me. Or, for example, when I'm entering arrow keys or something else into the terminal, the Helldiver can't instantly exit the terminal (I know you can press E, but many people don't know this, and because of this, they get killed while literally glued to the terminal). FIX THIS.
Buggy Helldiver animations on the Destroyer. When returning, Helldivers would jerk their heads to the side as if they were suffering from tics. You fixed that, great, but there's still a bug where, when exiting the weapons terminal, a Helldiver's arm twists, looking as if someone invisible is dragging it. It ruins immersion. FIX THIS.
This list may not be complete; I may have missed something.
If you stop making Warbonds and focus on fixing all these bugs, no one will die, and it will only make your game better than it is now.
Brothers and sisters of Super-Earth, I ask you, as fellow democrats, to push this post to the top of the Helldiver 2 subreddit so the developers will see it and listen to us all in this righteous cause. Together, we will achieve a bright future for Helldivers 2, only through teamwork. GLORY TO SUPER-Earth!
