I’m starting to get into Hellenism and thinking about worshipping Psyche and possibly Nyx as well. I know they’re not exactly the most popular ones, which made me wonder if anyone else worship less popular/lesser known deities?
Hi, I’m not Hellenistic myself but not opposed to the idea of it. I was wondering how you chose which God/Goddess you were to become a devotee for? I don’t want to be the type to bring up Christianity but I somewhat grew up in a Christian church so I really have only heard stories of how Jesus supposedly reached out to people, did you God/Goddess do the same with some sort of signs, big or small?
I’m pretty straight forward when it comes to ingredients and spell recipes, so I was wondering if anyone has used less conventional/ less common items in their craft. Did they helped at all or at least did you think they helped at all?
Hey, I’ve practiced witchcraft for almost a year. I wouldn’t day it’s my religion or label myself a witch/wiccan/pagan. It’s not something I like to say out loud for personal reasons. I’m also agnostic, meaning I don’t believe there is enough evidence to prove or disprove the existence of God or Gods. That also applies to my practices. I don’t fully know if this whole witchcraft thing works but I like the psychological aspect of it. If I believe it will work then I will feel at peace, even if the outcome isn’t what I expected or wanted. For example, I failed a college course even after doing an academic success candle spell and jar to carry around with me, yet that still didn’t fully make me disbelieve in my practice. I wear a tiger’s eye bracelet not because it gives me luck but because I THINK it will give me luck. I have an ancestral altar not because I believe my ancestors are watching, I have one IF my ancestors are watching over me. Does that make sense? I was thinking about being a devotee of the Greek God and Goddess Eros and Psyche, even though I don’t exactly believe in the Greek Gods being real, I more so like the idea of Eros and Psyche. I love doing witchcraft, but I am just skeptical. I don’t know, maybe I’m not a real practitioner if I don’t 100% believe in the practice. I was just wondering if there are any other witches/wiccans/pagans that are also agnostic or feel the same way.
