What parts of an eye exam can be skipped in a physically healthy 32 year old with random, sudden, involuntary eye movements?
32M in fine bodily physical health.
I wear glasses for nearsightedness and I used to get an eye exam every year, but I stopped about 2–3 years ago because I have random, sudden, involuntary eye movements. It's something brain-related, functional neurological something, not really well understood. I also have random double vision but the neurologist didn't see anything real to worry about, like my brain MRI and stuff didn't show anything. Anyway, I'm thinking I should get an eye exam, but I'm kinda concerned with the random involuntary eye movements. I have involuntary double vision or involuntary random eye movements every 3–15 seconds. Like I feel uncomfortable with a doctor probing around when my eyes are doing that.
