Thoughts on this watch for BMT?

Thoughts on this watch for BMT?

I really really want a watch that has a pedometer for BMT. I wanna know how many steps I’m getting in a day!

This watch has a lot of fitness tracking features, but it doesn’t connect to a phone or have Bluetooth capabilities so it’s not a smart watch. And it seems to check all the boxes of what I want - it’s black, tracks steps, tracks calories (but I don’t think I can input my personal stats so it probably won’t be accurate), has an alarm (only beeping and no vibrating though), has a stop watch. But lmk if there’s anything else I should consider or if you think it’d be admissible!

I might also get a super cheap, basic watch as a backup to bring with me in case this one isn’t allowed for whatever reason or if it breaks.

What are some good discounts you get as a member of the ANG?

Discounts from parks, stores, restaurants, activities, etc. I wanna know all the deals (or at least the good ones).

I know a lot of good deals come around on Veterans Day, but I mainly would like to know about places that have deals all the time (but throw out Veterans Day deals too!)

Seriously. I’ve tried a couple different recipes that use Greek yogurt thinking that maybe you can’t taste it or something. NOPE. It has a strong flavor and it comes through on everything I’ve tried. And every freaking good looking recipe I come across has Greek yogurt in it!

Cookie recipe? Greek yogurt

Peanut butter? Greek yogurt

Protein fluff? Greek yogurt

Spread for xxx recipe? Greek yogurt

Frosting? Greek yogurt

You may be able to mask the flavor or make it taste different or whatever, but the fact of the matter is IT STILL TASTES LIKE GREEK YOGURT.

And I also follow some people who try recipes they find online, and they never mention stuff like this! It’s just like yes/no it tastes good. Yes/no wouldn’t try again. Had this issue on a different recipe that was supposed to be a high protein pizza. It wasn’t bad, but they didn’t mention that it tastes nothing like pizza. I also tried a healthy mock peanut butter cup recipe. Didn’t mention that the peanut butter tastes like peanut flavored Greek yogurt and nothing like a normal peanut butter cup.

End of rant.

I enlisted back in January this year. I have a good job already, but I joined because the military always interested me coming from a military family, I wanted to make extra money, I wanted to serve, etc.

I didn’t do the math on this til after I joined, but with the amount of money I make from my civilian job vs what I’ll make when I’m full-time during BMT and tech school, I’ll be losing about $16,400. This isn’t a real loss since I’m getting an enlistment bonus, but it really sucks that my enlistment bonus is essentially $16,400 less than I thought it’d be.

I’m not really sure what I’m looking for with this post, but I’d like to hear everyone’s thoughts for anyone who joined when they had a well-paying civilian job!

Edit: I’m a federal employee. I will get differential pay if I deploy, but I don’t believe I can get it for BMT/tech school. I also get 160 hrs of military leave each year. I’m not sure when that resets, but I should be able to use at least some of it (my drills are Friday-Sunday so I need to save some for drill)

Edit edit: I see a lot of people mentioning BAH. I live with my parents, but I’m getting a formal agreement with my parents so it meets the BAH requirements and it’ll be $600 a month. I make $68k annually with my fed job, so that’ll lessen the gap a bit and certainly help, but not completely.
