WE BECAME PARENTS

Unexpected lil shrimps because we lost hope.

My husband gets a 10 gal with 2 mollies and gets a bonus shrimp (low grade cherry) because I was sad my betta of two years died and he wanted to cheer me up (knowing I want shrimps as well). Ends up with brand new uncycled tank 10 gal two mollies and weird shrimp. Then we find cracks and he buys 20 gal.

Gets more shrimps like 10 or smth. But new ones somehow dying but one or two or three survive including a surprise one, which/who he called Oscar (ended up Oscarita). Throws away mollies because they’ve been picking on shrimps and everything because they are MOLLIES. Gets a new load. Buys new small batch but a Bunch of dead again but some of them survive. And gets another one month or more lately and they came real high grade.

But our Oscarita been berried and we’ve witnessed her fanning. And last batch been berried as well. So whose child is this ???🧐🧐🧐 some Brazilian tele-novella drama.

P.S. we’ve ended up counting four shrimplets

I have 5 corys sterbai and they are literally afraid of me 😭I’ll obviously will get 3-4 or 5 more to get them confident. But how to show them im not here to frighten them!!!????😭😭😭😭 tank is 20 gal. They really didn’t care about my face when i crushed bladder snails and put a carnivore pellet in last night.

Tank started March 16/17. Used seachem. Tests are all clear and zeros. I will test tomorrow again. I have 5 corydoras Sterbai (got two weeks ago) planning to get 4 more. And there’s a looooot of snails like bladder and mini ramshorns. So. Is the current too strong for the shrimps? It’s 20 gal. Planning to add in 2-4 weeks. Thank you, I’ll post full shot on tank in comments. Also our well water is hard so minerals are good. My hasband has a cherry shrimp tank but I want blue dream ones
