Replacing Top Soil while builder is building and has fences

Hey everyone

So I want some advice on what to do here. We were kinda blindsided when the builders asked to start building, there was a lot of delay when planning the build so when they said they were going to commence within 1 week out of nowhere we didn't get time to replace the backyard soil as the natural soil is quite bad.

My friend is a builder and he seems to think we can get away with getting a small digger in through the side of the property (400sq meter block). We would need to make down some of the temporary fencing to do so. We would also do this on a weekend.

This would of course be very obvious to the site supervisor if he came to see the house the following week.

Do you think they would care? What could the repercussions be?

The only other option is to wheelbarrow it down the side of the house once construction is completed.

TL;DR:

The build start got moved forward suddenly, so there wasn’t time to replace the poor-quality backyard soil before construction began. A builder friend thinks a small digger could still fit down the side of the 400sqm block by temporarily removing some fencing and doing the work on a weekend. The concern is that the site supervisor would probably notice afterward, and the question is whether the builders would care and what consequences there could be. The alternative is waiting until the house is finished and moving the soil manually with wheelbarrows.

Hi all,

I am trying to get into a traineeship at the moment. But the next Tafe Semester is gonna start up soon.

Do you think I have a better chance of getting into a help desk job through just doing tafe and finding a job, or should I keep going for the traineeships.

Thanks!

Hey everyone,

Thinking about getting a Suzuki Carry DC51T and just wanted to see how people make these things a bit safer. I'm not too worried about how much it'll cost.

I know they’re not safe by modern standards. Essentially a death trap. tiny, cab-over, not much between you and whatever you hit. I’m not expecting a 5 star NCAP rating lol.

I will be making sure I Drive super defensively, avoid highways when I can, taking slower speed roads, leaving lots of space around me, avoiding bad weather and sketchy traffic.

As for mods, I’ve been thinking:

Good quality tires, maybe better brakes?

Suspension refresh for stability

Brighter lights

Maybe something to make it more visible, light a bright color paint or reflective strips.

Some ideas I've had for safety upgrades are:

bull bars, actually helpful at all?

Any legit brake upgrades people recommend?

Anything that actually helps in a crash, or is it all just avoidance?

Ways to make it feel more stable, especially at speed or in wind?

Maybe a custom roll cage?

Wearing protection gear such as helmets or installing a harness?

I get that you can’t turn a kei truck into a modern car, just trying to stack the odds a bit.

Would love to hear what’s actually worth doing vs what’s just for looks.

TL;DR : Want to make a Suzuki carry safer, I understand the risks with the vehicle. Looking for ideas to make it safer.
