I had the displeasure if listening to Hades a few weeks ago and safe to say, I was really confused?? I thought the theme was supposed to be about a synthetic made popstar who was depressed, misused drugs and wanted to break free from the endless cycle. But there was hardly anything pop, Disney Princess, The Vatican and Possession were the only real pop songs - everything else was very grungy or slang rhymy. One of the songs are literally about war. What? The Vatican is hardly on theme either, it's about sexual abuse within churches??? Listening to the album in order is so confusing and I'm not really sure what story I'm supposed to be following. I didn't get the impression of "oh the character in the music is a popstar being exploited and abused" I was just.. confused.
