Hi everyone,

I’m a college student planning to major in Spanish (possibly with a focus on language and culture), and I’m curious about what midterms and finals are like for language majors.

What do exams usually look like in your experience? Are they more focused on grammar, essays, oral exams, presentations, or a mix of everything? How intense are they compared to other majors?

Also, how do you usually prepare for them, especially for higher-level classes?

I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences, especially from people who studied Spanish, Portuguese, or other languages.
