Senior manager told me he wants me to kid of manage the juniors who work with me on a big client. I did do a good job in the busy season, and I have wanted to become a manager since I started this job (it’s been 6 months lol). He told me he wants me to actually review their work in the future and have a view “from above” on things. He told me that this way things will get done faster. Now to be honest, i don’t know how to manage people, and coming from me these juniors don’t really take me seriously since I’m 1. Younger than them 2. Im a new accountant (2.5 years in accounting). So whenever I kindly asked them whether they completed something or ask them to do something they kind of try to turn it around and try to boss me around lol. I have no idea how to do this! And it kind of feels like they’re testing me (I have a feedback meeting in two weeks).
Any ideas here? I’m really kind of lost here
