Hello,
Situation - I have 2 adjacent buildings (A&B) with internet coming in to each building, I'm running MMF between the buildings so I can get them on the same network.
What I'd like to do is connect the 2 UDM's in some sort of failover/HA mode, or even better a load balancing situation if thats possible.
Issue 1 - I read that port 7 is to be used for this on each UDM, this won't work as the distance is too long for copper, thus I am running MMF
issue 2 - Assuming I can use port 11 (LAN SFP+) for this connection between the 2 UDM's, that would consume my only 10G LAN port and I'd no be able to connect my access switch via 10G... unless I can setup HA/MC-LAG/whatever while routing the traffic through the access switches. [ internet/building A-> UDM-A ->Access switch A <-> Access switch B <-> UDM-B <- internet/building B ]
I'm 2 EFG's would solve my issues, but I done have funding for that, any assistance would be appreciated
2 simple diagrams for reference
hope this make sense.
