I am looking for some good iem recommendations and I figured here would be the best place to ask and I'll give as much info as I can for the best recommendations.
I listen mainly to metal. My main bands i listen to are Gojira, Mastodon, Currents, Opeth, LANDMVRKS, and Vektor. Some other genres I dip into sometimes are Pop, Jazz, Big Band, Classical piano, and a little bit of R&B.
My sound preference is a good bit of bass, I like it to be there and hit a bit but not overwhelming or muddy. I would like for guitars and vocals to sound clean and pushed forward and I like detail but nothing super sharp or fatiguing. So basically something that is clear and detailed but still has some energy, not super flat and not crazily V shaped. I hope this makes sense as I am not super educated in the specifics of this stuff quite yet...
Right now I am using the Truthear Zero:2 and i just want something that is a noticeable upgrade. And I really only listen using my phone (Samsung S24 ultra) using this dongle BZINK usb c to 3.5mm adapter. My budget is max $300 (USD). The current iems I think would work for me are the crinear daybreak, kiwi ear halcyon (if the reviews end up being good), kiwi ear quintet, truthear nova, and if i can get them on a deal the moondrop blessing 3. But what do you guys think?
