1961 quarter little wear heavy tone

Natural toning. Had this one in my collection for over 20 years but I’m not sure if the quarter had coloration when I first got it.

Adding historical pieces to the collection

I’m really attracted to vintage pieces, silver or not. I love the history, the trauma, the possibilities of who might have held them, the time passed, the stored energy, and the fact that they still exist. My oldest American coin is an 1892 Morgan but I’ve been wanting older. I had made this cart on APMEX a while ago and I finally pull d the trigger minus the Morgan 1973 I think. I know I paid a premium but these are just some coins I wanted in my collection before prices go up again.

Our first find! $1.10

Metal detector just came in and put it together and swept my front yard. I found a dollar coin and dime! Can’t wait to find those bottle tabs!

Here are some more pictures of the giant Kennedy coin my uncle gave me. He gave me this over 20 years ago and recently passed away so I can’t ask him about it. I haven’t found too much info on google. The plastic protector cracked along the seal. Should I replace it?
Also, I can’t find the company on the certificate when I search google.

These are two my favorite silver coins. Besides buying pieces I like is it worth it to buy worn coins even some with out dates if the the dollars are 20-30 under spot?
Coins pictured are mine

I flew back home to visit my family and asked my dead if he’d help me pull out my locker chest from the cellar to see what I collected through out my childhood. I started collecting coins and cards when I was around 9 or 10 and just bought cards and currency from flea markets and stashed them in my trunk. When I showed my uncle my coin collection he was disappointed and taught me the way of silver. When I pulled out my collection I was expecting a few silver dollars but when I started pulling everything out I was blown away. So much silver! My uncle gave me the Kennedy a 1/2 Troy pound .999 at the time when he gave it to me I thought it was a novelty coin. Also not pictured is like 20 mercury dime 20 silver nickels and bunch of steel Pennie’s and the Indian head pennies. Silver notes and red notes. I also have an entire binder of half dollar coins. All in all it’s over 2lbs of silver not counting the nickels dimes and quarters.
