Saw a rant on LinkedIn from a PPC consultant about clients using AI to question his work, valid concern or protecting territory?
I hope none of his clients were reading it 😂
Apparently it's increasingly common for clients to paste their account data into ChatGPT and bring the analysis to account reviews. He getting very hot under the collar.
His argument was that AI ignores funnel context, attribution gaps and cross-platform correlations, things like using Meta for brand awareness to drive Google branded searches, learning phase campaigns, that kind of thing. All legitimate points.
I was wondering if this was valid or is it just someone who doesn't like having their homework marked?
My take is that most people cutting and pasting data into ChatGPT aren't giving it any of that context. So of course the output is generic. That's not really an AI problem, that's a prompt problem. Given the correct context I think AI give a decent SME-level analysis? I think yes. What do you reckon?
