My landlord told me in April through text that they planned to increase the rent for May and send out new tenancy agreement . Today my rent has increased however they haven’t sent out anything to say so . I’m just curious if they needed to do this before the new renters act came in?

I’m gonna pay the amount , but is it worth asking any questions to them ?
