Couple months ago I got the title message displaying on my dash and after about 30 seconds of being out of Park I get 90 seconds of a warning chime at approximately 9000 decibels. The warning message goes away if I hit the “back” arrow on the wheel but comes back after 5 seconds, leaving my dash display unusable.
I used an OBD2 scan tool and can’t remember the code but it was something along the lines of a seat belt sensor on the drivers side.
This started completely at random. I drove to work that morning and all was fine. Got in car to leave and got the above problem.
Things I’ve tried after removing the negative cable from the battery:
Pulled the SRS fuse, it’s not blown.
Unbolted the drivers seat to inspect the yellow SRS module, it seems intact and has a good connection.
Any suggestions on where to go from here would be appreciated.
