I want to carve a Millennium Falcon about the same size as the X-Wing miniature game piece. So far, the largest I found was this, but I see it is multiple pieces glued together. In the photo, you can see the color differences at the glued portion and that a single piece is not wide enough. Would that work, or is it untenable to carve through the glued portion? If so where could I get bass wood that is about 5 inch x 4 x1 or 1.5? I haven't been able to find anything this size or larger as a single piece.
