Wrestling in my Catholic faith
so I’ve been going to this wrestling club lately and it’s been awesome!!
I love wrestling as a sport and I want to love it more and more for it as a whole and what it does for me, but I want to know what ways can I grow closer to God intimately in this sport and not just chase results or success?
granted, I want to win as I’m wrestling (lmao) but I want to involve God deeply into it. and I want to (hopefully of course) get to a high level of wrestling like RAF or the Olympics in the future!
now recently I’ve been praying just before I start rolling in the mat, like a short prayer to St sebastian or St Joseph and sometimes an invocation the Virgin Mary
anyone know some athletes who involve their Catholic faith deeply or perhaps know a video or two expanding on this?
