In some sense it is a resurrection of How do you guys share files between Android & Linux ?

Personally, I'm quite happy with SSHFS. I guess, that a custom MTP implementation with true random read/write access (like Android File Transfer for Linux) should do the trick too.

So, what are the benefits of the adbfs-rootless-git package?
